Through Cougar’s sister business, Batt Mobile Equipment (BME), we are developing a battery-powered Integrated Tool Carrier (ITC). Leveraging BME’s proven expertise in electric powertrain conversions for hard rock mining and quarry operations, this project extends sustainable innovation into coal environments. The result is a high-performance ITC that eliminates diesel emissions while maintaining the strength and capability expected in demanding conditions.
In a unique collaboration with PYBAR, Cougar converted hard rock Jumbo drills to be compliant for underground coal along with installing an all-electric powertrain. This project showcased Cougar’s engineering capability and commitment to sustainable innovation, delivering a tailored solution that reduced emissions and supported a cleaner underground environment without compromising performance.
